Showtime, a leading regional television network was in deep need of an Intranet
based solution that will connect employees in different locations.
Link Development embarked on this task, and developed Showtime Intranet, a single
point of access for employee to access corporate information and processes.
Through the Intranet, Showtime employees are now able to initiate, manage and track
different processes, such as vacation requests, expense claims, task delegations
among others.
Other Company wide processes such as performance appraisals are also accessed through
the Showtime Intranet. In addition to the global corporate Intranet which targets
employees company wide, six departmental sub-sites were developed as part of the
solution, each targeting its respective department.
Security was a major concern to Showtime, since unauthorized access to the Intranet
will expose confidential and proprietary information.
Security levels and access rights were totally managed by the Intranet Solution
utilizing state of the art security standards. At this day, Showtime management
are able to target content to particular groups and sub-groups by through the taxonomy
of information and flexibility of Portal Management.
