LINKdotNET named Global Finalist in Prestigious Microsoft Award.
Leading regional provider is recognized for delivering an outstanding enterprise
application integration (EAI) solution central to the development of Egypt’s Government
project
Cairo, October 5, 2003
Microsoft Corporation recently announced that it has nominated LINKdotNET, the leading
regional Internet services and solutions provider, as a global finalist in the highly
competitive Microsoft 2003 Certified Partner Awards, open to all partners from around
the world.
LINKdotNET, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, was selected as a finalist in the
“Integration Solution of the Year” award category, for delivering high-end comprehensive
solutions based on Microsoft technology. As a category finalist, LINKdotNET has
been chosen to represent the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
“We are committed to being the regional leader in e-solutions. This nomination as
the best Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) solution for the Eastern Europe,
Middle East and Africa region is another sign that we are delivering on that promise,”
said LINKdotNET CEO Khaled Bichara.
“As reflected in the numerous awards we previously have received from Microsoft,
LINKdotNET has a long history and strong track record of effectively using Microsoft
technology to serve our clients across the region,” he added.
The LINKdotNET solution has played a key role in the establishment of Egypt’s Government
Gateway, which is being developed to provide easy access to government services
and to enhance the quality of citizen interactions with government ministries and
agencies.
Designed by LINKdotNET, the Gateway serves as the Government portal’s electronic
communications hub for all its services, whether government to citizen or government
to business. As an EAI solution, the Gateway can handle data from a variety of applications,
irrespective of operating system, platform or technology and provides a single sign-on
for all Government services.
With more than 1,000 entries representing the best customer solutions from around
the world, this year is the most competitive Microsoft Partner Award to date. A
Microsoft team of more than 140 judges chose the five finalists in the “Integration
Solution of the Year” category, each of which represent a pre-defined geographic
region.
The Egyptian Government Gateway solution epitomizes LINKdotNET’s continuing drive
to support similar initiatives in the region. The solution aims to expand the impact
that IT efficiencies and other benefits bring to citizens across the globe and narrow
the digital divide between the Middle East and the rest of the world.
